Hair Review - Essensuals Bugis

19 Dec 2010
I have read reviews about Essensuals Bugis from many popular bloggers about their superb services. 2 of my favourite bloggers - Esther Xie and Fan Wen Qing have been there too.

I'm dying to have a new hair colour cos my hair is in a mess - fizzy and faded colour.
Actually, I dyed my hair using DIY products most of the time. Cos I have a phobia stepping into a salon as I have a mindset that most hairstylists have airs and attitude. Plus I'm afraid that after spending $$$, I don't get the hair colour plus the service I deserved. However, DIY products also have their cons - you usually don't get the colour same as the picture, ended up super messy and tiring if you have long hair.

I am very fortunate to get an invitation from Essensuals Bugis to try out their services. I was feeling anxious plus excitement! I asked my super close friend to come along with me.
It was quite easy to get there. Just opp Bugis Junction and above Burger King at Bugis Village entrance.
It was a 'wow' to me when I stepped into the salon. Very spacious. The salon was quite crowded as I think many people wanted a new look for the coming festive seasons. I can only take photos of some angles where there's no customers cos I dun want to 'disturb' them (give them privacy).
I chose red colour cos I have strong feeling that it will suits my skin colour!
Ginna is my hairstylist for that day. She was friendly and super approachable. Really made me feel at ease and comfortable. Besides her, the other staff are also very friendly. They will asked us if we want water or the magazines which we would like to read.
My friend's hairstylist is Yan Ooi. I found her very cool with her fiery red hair, kekekeke.
Waiting patiently to wash my hair. Something to highlight was their hair massage. While washing away the dye, they will give you a hair massage. So shiok that you will fall asleep. Luckily I didn't drool. (Didn't take pics cos I was falling alseep while they washed my hair) The hair treatment was together with the hair massage.
Tadahh!!! My new hair colour. Don't you think the red colour helps to brighten up my face colour?
The treatment was good! Our hair texture was smooth and silky, like rebond hair.
More camwhore photos for comparison!
